TABLE TENNIS
About Table Tennis in Ferndale Community School
Sessions are held afterschool as part of the core e3 timetable. Scott Johnston is the Table Tennis Coach at Ferndale Community School
The programme at Ferndale runs 4 days a week as an after-school club and one day a week as a Community club for other players across the Rhondda to access the training facilities at Ferndale.
The programme encourages students to get a basic level of table tennis and to then progress on to a competitive level of Table Tennis. The programme currently has 5 welsh internationalist's along with 3 other players who are in welsh regional squad's.
The programme runs two days a week in the Lower School hall (Tuesday and Friday) and two days in the Barn (Monday and Thursday). Any students wanting to attend the sessions can just come along any day after school and they are more than welcome to attend. Sessions always have a mixture of abilities within them so any new players will always have another player to practise/play against.
