About 5x60
5x60 - It’s the big question your maths teacher never asked you!
Chew on this for a minute. If you add together all the time you spend burning off energy, how many hours have you clocked up by the end of the week?
5 or more? Cool. Top of the class!
Less than 5? Mm. That’s a ‘could do better…’
5x60 is about getting active for at least 60 minutes, 5 x a week. It doesn’t have to be all at once! A 10 minute walk to school, a 20 minute kickabout and a half-hour bike ride will do. But before you ask, no it doesn’t include time on your x-box or watching footie!
5x60 is all about having fun and trying out new things. At Ferndale this term students have tried dodgeball, zumba, table tennis and many more activities. Next term there will be more exciting things to try such as football, fitness club at the school pool and Golf as well as all yor favourites from last term.
It’s all about you. You choose your activities, and your 5x60 Officer does their bit to make it happen.
